Can I join if I have never played pickleball before?

Yes. Beginners are welcome. Choose a beginner, low-intermediate, open-play or 55+ activity whose description matches you.

Which session should I choose?

If you are new, start with a beginner, low-intermediate, open-play or 55+ activity. More experienced players can choose a level-based or intermediate and advanced session. Check the current activities, and email us with your playing level and Copenhagen dates if you are unsure.

Can visitors and English-speaking players join?

Yes. Visitors, international residents and English-speaking players are welcome. Our member-facing communication is in English. Choose a session marked “Drop-in available” and book before travelling.

What should I bring?

Wear comfortable sports clothing and shoes you can move and turn in. We have paddles and balls you can borrow, so you do not need to buy equipment before your first session.

How do I find the current sessions?

Use our activities page. We update it from Holdsport each week. Holdsport remains the source of truth for changes, cancellations and available places, so check it before travelling.

How do I sign up for a session?

1. Open our newcomer Holdsport link.
2. Create your profile with your name, email address and phone number.
3. Choose an activity marked “Drop-in available” and select Sign up. In Danish, the button may say Tilmeld.
4. Pay the drop-in fee if the activity requires it.
5. Look for your confirmation from Holdsport by email, on the website or in the app.

Do I need the Holdsport app?

No. You can create your profile, sign up and pay in a web browser. Depending on your country or app store, the same platform may appear under its international name, SportMember.

What does it cost?

Every drop-in session is booked through Holdsport and costs 50 DKK. If you later buy your first ordinary membership, we deduct the 50 DKK paid for your first drop-in from your first membership payment.

Ordinary membership follows fixed six-month seasons. Join from 1 April to 30 June or 1 October to 31 December for 600 DKK. Join from 1 July to 31 August or 1 January to the end of February for 300 DKK. Join in September or March for 100 DKK. Final-month members continue into the next season and receive the normal 600 DKK membership charge. This is not a quarterly or rolling membership, and there is no halfway cancellation or refund.

Can I try pickleball without buying a membership?

Yes. Use the 50 DKK drop-in option and choose an available activity in the current schedule. There are no free trial sessions. If you later buy your first ordinary membership, we credit the 50 DKK paid for your first drop-in once.

What if Holdsport says my email address or password is wrong?

You may already have a profile. Your Holdsport username is not always the same as your email address. Use Forgot your password? on the login screen and reset it with your email address or phone number.

What if signup or payment does not work?

Email info@danskepickleballers.dk. We can help you find the correct profile and signup route.

Can I attend without booking?

Please book in advance when possible. Some sessions have capacity limits or waiting lists. If the booking system is stopping you, contact us before you travel so we can confirm whether there is space.

Do you have sessions for adults aged 55 and over?

Yes. Senior Pickleball (55+) currently runs on Sundays from 12:00 to 14:00 at Bellahøj School, hall M2, with a maximum of 20 participants. From 6 September, non-members pay the normal 50 DKK drop-in fee and members register at no extra cost. Check the live Holdsport activity before travelling because dates, cancellations and availability can change.

Yes. We create hosted pickleball events for companies and organizations, with instruction and equipment included. See the company-events offer.
